"since everything is on the Internet, I don't need books ... right?"
I don't think this comment is right because not all of the data that find in the Internet is valid and like we discussed in library research there is different types of ways we can check if the information in the Internet is right. I also think that in book we can find more detailed information that is more credible because I don't think author go around publishing books with false information other than fictions books that required most of the information to be false. I also think that books are more accurate and easier to find because you can go to your nearest library and ask the librarian if they know where they can find the information you need. But sometimes in the web you can get connected to the author of the book and ask him/her a question about your topic, then again it could also be false information because some people just like to mess around and invent something up and make the other person waste their time in something that was not worth it. A good example of this would be the page we saw about the pregnant man in library research, we saw that this page was well elaborates and that it could probably full people that pulled it up but it was easy to detect that this page was fake because if you pressed on the links it would not take you anywhere. You could also see that it was fake because you press on the information tab type of thing and it would talk about another topic.

You are so right! Just like if you or I were to write a research paper or book, authors have to site where they get their information too. A good way to check this out is to pick up a non-fiction book from your school or local library from the history section. If you read through the text, there will be numbers or quotes with a corresponding number or quote on the bottom of the page or in the the back of the book in the bibliography. The downside of print research is sometimes it is old or outdated. That is why it is important to know how to do correct online research as well. There are many online resources that are credible and accurate - you just have to find them. Asking a librarian is a good start...
